Welcome.
I strongly believe that live music is one of the few art forms with the ability to span and permeate cultures, politics, religions, languages, and anything that may, at times, divide us. Music unites us, and Jazz is my musical center.
I’ve had the privilege of recording and performing with some of the world’s finest musicians during the last 45 years of working as a professional drummer.
Based in Portland Oregon for nearly all of my music career, I’ve performed at thousands of different events and venues including anniversaries, ballrooms, barges, barns, barrel rooms, boats, booths, breweries, casinos, celebrations, ceremonies, churches, classrooms, clinics, clubs, coffee shops, colleges, colosseums, communities, concerts, concourses, conferences, conventions, dances, docks, dedications, dry docks, fairs, fashion shows, festivals, gardens, graduations, granges, golf courses, grand openings, grinders, ground-breakings, halls, hangers, hospitals, launches, libraries, malls, mergers, mitzvahs, musicals, museums, offices, parades, parks, parties, pumpkin shoots, recitals, racetracks, retail stores, restaurants, rooftops, scaffolding, schools, ships, shows, showrooms, sidewalks, squares, stages, stadiums, studios, streets, street-corners, synagogues, tents, theaters, trains, universities, vineyards, weddings, and even a zoo.
For nearly two decades, I made my living as a full-time musician and music educator. These days, I’m a part-time professional musician with a meaningful day job that I’m very proud of.
